Compared to traditional grinding and electro-erosion technology on super-hard materials, laser processing offers numerous advantages. It achieves better cutting edge quality with higher precision and efficiency in an integrated rough-finish workflow, without the need for consumables or limitations on the geometry of the cutting edge profile. The integration of high-precision five-axis systems with laser systems not only overcomes the barriers imposed by toolpaths with complex geometries but also provides a more eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for processing super-hard materials.
